Description:The Lautrec Maitre'd will serve as the liaison between the guest, the kitchen, the service staff, the reservations department, and the dining room manager. To meet our guest�s needs in a professional manner on the phone and in person. Be knowledgeable about the restaurant menu as well as the Resort. Anticipate guests� needs and control the �flow� of the restaurant. The Lautrec Maitre'd will play a vital part in maintaining the highest quality of guest service within the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond standards.
Duties:Creates and confirms reservations within the available restaurant inventory while ensuring that any special requests are communicated and ensured.

Maintains in depth knowledge of LMS.

Maintains general restaurant cleanliness.

Researches all VIPs and communicates any and all pertinent information to appropriate staff members.

Maintains a database of VIP and repeat guest information to include likes, dislikes, allergies, and special occasions.

Greets guests at the door and on the phone in a professional and engaging manner.

Seats guests in a timely manner to control the �flow� of the restaurant in order to ensure great service.

Prints menus daily. Prints specialty menus to acknowledge special occasions and group functions.

Maintains in depth menu and resort knowledge in order to answer guest�s questions.
Professionally enforces the restaurant dress code policy.

Attends daily restaurant line-up to communicate important information to fellow associates.

Anticipates guests� needs to ensure their expectations are exceeded.

Trains the host/hostess in proper seating, verbiage, and resort standards.

Attendance: Follows established procedures for early notification (check associate handbook) for late/absence.

Arrives to work at scheduled times and works until authorized to leave.

Demonstrates adherence to the resort�s safe practice procedures.

Reports any potential safety hazards to management immediately.
Qualifications:Must be 18 years or older.

Must be friendly and outgoing.

Possess excellent communication skill and must interact effectively with both staff and guests.

Ability to handle high pressure situations.

Ability to assist servers in any way needed to maintain guest satisfaction.

Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning of restaurant.

Possess a great attention to detail.

Customer service and/or prior restaurant experience preferred.

Must be able to speak English.

Additional Requirements

Ensures that the resort�s guest service standards are maintained at an exceptional level.

Controls the flow of the restaurant through properly timed seating and reservations.

Communicates guests� requests to the appropriate associates.

Makes a positive contribution to the work environment through presentation of positive attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive approach to daily events.

Thoroughly maintains all administrative duties that are assigned and completes them by assigned due date.
