Beverage Cart Attendant 1 -2012

Description:In support of the resort�s mission statement, the Beverage Cart Attendant will be professional and will serve drinks responsibly. He or she will have good grooming standards, be courteous and have a �can do� attitude. To provide professional food and beverage service for our guests while adhering to grooming standards, uniform standards and other policies and procedures outlined in the Nemacolin Associate Handbook.
Duties:Ensures that the resort and golf customer service standards are maintained at an exceptional level.

The bartender must always portray a professional manner including appearance, identification, and general conduct at all times.

Makes a positive contribution to the work environment through presentation of positive attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive approach to daily events.

Attend all mandatory departmental meetings and training classes as scheduled by respective managers.

Comply with all hotel and golf policies and procedures. Follow guidelines as stated in the training manuals.

Attendance: Follows established procedures for early notification (check employee handbook) and divisional no fault policy for late/absence.

Punctuality: Arrives to work at scheduled times and works until authorized to leave.

Demonstrates adherence to the resort�s safe practice procedures and makes recommendations to improve safety.

Consistently uses proper body mechanics in performance of responsibilities, as evidenced by supervisor�s observation and no injury to self or others due to improper work habits.

Adhere to Resort�s SOP on safe Driving of a Resort Vehicle(Beverage Cart)

Maintain a clean working environment, to include Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness of Beverage Cart.

Maintain standard drink mixing procedures.

Comply with all hotel and golf policies and procedures and follow guidelines as stated in the training manual.

Knowledge of drink prices and basic beverage knowledge.
Qualifications:Prior knowledge and experience of beverage service and alcoholic drinks.

Excellent verbal communication skills, outgoing and very customer orientated.

At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma.

Very customer orientated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, outgoing personality, and ability to work under stress in a fast paced environment.

1-2 years prior bartending experience preferred.

Additional Requirements

Position requires the ability to lift 20 �30 pounds,

Flexibility in hours, ability to manage multiple tasks,

Be quick and efficient and ability to effectively handle the pressure and demand of making multiple drinks.

Be able to withstand various weather conditions

Must be able to function calmly under pressure.

Good memory required for multiple drink orders
