| Description: | As a member of the Turfgrass Management team, the Turf Technician I works on a diverse range of activities regarding Turfgrass management and construction. The Turf Technician I does semi-skilled golf course construction and maintenance work and performs related tasks in order to maintain perfect playing conditions. |
| Duties: | Maintaining all areas of the golf course by operating a walk-behind mower or a riding mower.
Performing daily set-up of assigned golf course.
Installing drainage and irrigation as instructed.
Applying the correct amount of water to turf and landscaping planting as directed by supervisor.
Safely and properly operating light motorized vehicles and company trucks.
Preparing areas for seed and sod.
Raking bunkers either by hand or machine.
Removing trash and debris from all areas of the property.
Assisting the supervisor with training all new associates on safety and proper equipment operation.
Monitoring moisture on greens, tees, fairways, rough, trees, etc.
Operating and applying fertilizer using a walk behind fertilizer spreader.
Must be able to operate all equipment in the golf course and must help out wherever necessary.
Keeping work areas and equipment clean. |
| Qualifications: | Candidate must have the ability to speak English fluently.
Basic understanding of Turfgrass Management and the rules of golf.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Must possess a valid driver�s license.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or needs of members and guests.
Familiarity with fertilization techniques. |
