Room Service Server

Description:Provides a good, professionally served meal to our guests in their guest suite while adhering to grooming standards, uniform standards and other policies and procedures outlined in the service manual.
Duties:Ensures that the resort�s guest service standards are maintained at an exceptional level.

The server must always portray a professional manner including appearance, identification, and general conduct at all times.

Makes a positive contribution to the work environment through presentation of positive attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive approach to daily events.

Attend all mandatory departmental meetings and training classes as scheduled by respective managers.

Comply with all hotel policies and procedures. Follow guidelines as stated in the training manuals.

Dependability

Attendance: Follows established procedures for early notification (check associate handbook) for late/absence.

Punctuality: Arrives to work at scheduled times and works until authorized to leave.

Demonstrates adherence to the resort�s safe practice procedures.

Reports any potential safety hazards to management immediately.

Employment Responsibilities

Check each order to ensure completeness: (Example china, glass, silver, condiments, salt and peppers).

Perform all tasks assigned by the manager (side-work, cleaning etc.)

Inspect to make sure that the room service tables are properly set and free of any soiled items. (Silverware, tablecloths, sugar caddies, B&B plates, centerpieces, S&P shakers etc.)

Attend daily stand up meeting and be knowledgeable of any special features.

Have a very detailed knowledge of all items on the menus.

Provide prompt and courteous service to all guests at all times.

Follow all service standards as mentioned in the training manuals / Associate manual.

Adhere to all Hotel policies and procedures

Must adhere to company�s grooming and appearance standards.
Qualifications:At least 18 years of age.

High school diploma.

Minimum of 1-2 yr. dining service.

Excellent verbal communication skills and very customer orientated individuals required. Fast paced work environment.

Ability to meet all deadlines as directed.

Work well under pressure, ability to work unusually long or odd hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, be multi-tasked, excellent inter-personal skills.

Fluent in the English language.
