| Description: | Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is joining the American Hotel & Lodging Association to participate in the National Groundhog Job Shadow Day 2013. A nationwide initiative to introduce young people to the world of work through hands-on learning in a one day mentoring experience.
Job shadowing opportunities are available in the following departments:
- Front Office
- Banquets
- Restaurants
- Accounting
- Spa and Salon
- Engineering
- Retail
National Groundhog Job Shadow Day 2013 will take place on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 9am - 3pm. Students and/or schools are responsible for providing their own transportation. Interested students will need to complete the following online application to be considered for a job shadowing position. Spaces are limited, so please apply no later than Friday, January 18, 2013.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO PREVIOUS JOB EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE JOB SHADOWING DAY. Students with no prior job experience may enter 'Not Applicable' in required fields where they do not have experience.

| Duties: | Students will shadow a job experience mentor from 9am - 3pm as well as interact with resort managers and directors. Students will experience the daily responsibilities of the hospitality industry and learn about future career opportunities. The job shadowing day will be an observational experience, with limited guest interaction. Hard skills are not required for this opportunity. |
| Qualifications: | A positive attitude.
A desire to learn about the hospitality industry and related fields.
The ability to communicate with directors, managers, front line associates, and resort guests.
Students will need to meet all Nemacolin Woodlands Resort grooming and dress code standards on the day of the job shadowing experience. These standards will be reviewed with students prior to arrival.
